Symposium in german
About the Symposium
Gender and sex - a topic that has accompanied musical
theater in varying degrees of awareness for centuries.
The potential for discussion, debate and research is great, the link between research and lived practice, between the artists' internal view and the audience's perspective is exciting.
For the first time, a
symposium on this topic is now being held at the Vienna State Opera, initiated
by Cecilia Bartoli as part of her guest performance with the Opéra de
Monte-Carlo.
The symposium "Music & Gender" will be held in
German and takes place on June 30 in the Gustav Mahler Hall. Admission is free!
If you would like to take part in the survey, you can do so
here. The survey is of course anonymous and takes about five minutes.
