Presentation
Marina Viotti has enjoyed a rich and explosive career path
if ever there was one: she began by studying the flute, experimented with jazz,
gospel and heavy metal, and went on to earn a master’s degree in philosophy and
literature.
Today, she is one of the most prominent opera singers of her generation, and it is with burning energy and unfailing virtuosity that she takes on the greatest roles in her repertoire. Crowned Lyric Artist of the Year at the 2023 Victoires de la Musique awards, she now performs on all the major European stages.
Marina Viotti has chosen Versailles as the setting for a new
recital, which will be the subject of her next album, recorded by the Château
de Versailles Spectacles label. Her favourite great Baroque composers will be
brought to their peak by her warm and powerful mezzo-soprano voice. At the helm
of the Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal, Andrés Gabetta will be her partner for this
evening of Baroque virtuosity !
