HUJAR:CONTACT THE MORGAN LIBRARY & MUSEUM

In this video, curator Joel Smith explores photographer Peter Hujar’s creative process through his contact sheets, tracing his evolution from commercial freelancer to one of the most influential and independent artists of New York’s East Village. Filmed in our exhibition "Hujar:Contact," Smith reveals how Hujar used contact sheets as a vital tool for shaping his images and artistic vision.
