MARA. TEATRU MANOEL. MALTA

A place to be , really...

MARA is an original piece of theatre that celebrates the story of women through time by means of interactive sound design. Audio plays an important part in the storytelling, where the sound designer takes on the role of a performer, composing and manipulating sound live whilst interacting with the actors. A multidisciplinary piece involving song, movement, poetry, dance, drama, elements of verbatim theatre and visual art.

MARA will also be collaborating with ArtsExcel and Jamie Iain Genovese Visual Artist, whose recent work related thematically to the project and will be exhibited at the entrance of the venue.
From inventors and scientists, to artists and activists. From musicians and politicians, to writers, to fighters, to mothers. MARA is an audiovisual journey through time, highlighting the fact that every story is worth telling, and that no voice should be silenced.
