The famous jeweler will
exhibit its history from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the
21st century.
What a surprise when Chaumet announced its exhibition. A
desire to promote its ancestral know-how in China. The 300 rooms occupied by
the exhibition will allow visitors to soak up both the incredible collection
that is exhibited but also this unique place.
Among these historical
pieces, visitors will be able to admire works of art, jewelry, paintings and
other drawings.
These exceptional objects have been collected
from various prestigious museums such as the Louvre, Fontainebleau Castle, and
the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Placed under the scientific
direction of Henri Loyrette, the exhibition “Imperial Splendours” is based on
the richness of the Chaumet heritage and traces its history and its evolution
through the centuries.
The Imperial Splendors
exhibition will also feature a contemporary tiara – the result of a creative
competition at the Saint Martins School of Art in London.
