Dans le rôle d’Aida, Sondra Radvanovsky, et Ksenia Dudnikova dans celui d’Amnéris
For her production of Aida at the Opéra Bastille, Lotte de Beer
creates a dialogue between theatrical illusion and puppetry art, in
collaboration with Mervyn Millar, designer and director of the marionettes -
doubles of the roles of Aida and Amonasro. Harmonising the performers' voices
and the puppeteers' bodies, they reveal, in the metaphorical space of the stage,
the balance between animate and inanimate that engages the spectator's
consciousness and imagination. To believe or not to believe?
