ON MARCH 12, THE “WORLD DAY AGAINST CYBER CENSORSHIP”, THE UNCENSORED LIBRARY OPENED ITS DOORS.

Providing access to independent information to young people around the world through a medium they can playfully interact with. Journalists from five different countries now have a place to make their voices heard again, despite having been banned, jailed, exiled and even killed.

THE UNCENSORED LIBRARY – THE MAKING OF

An open library in an open world game overcoming censorship. In countries without press freedom, where websites are blocked, Minecraft is still accessible. We used this loophole to build The Uncensored Library. The library is filled with books, containing articles that were censored in their country of origin. Censored Articles become uncensored books in Minecraft.

Their forbidden articles were republished in books within Minecraft, giving readers the chance to inform themselves about the real political situation in their countries and learn the importance of press freedom.

Let’s empower the next generation to stand up for their right to information and give them a powerful tool to fight oppressive leaders: knowledge. Together with the ever-expanding gaming community, we will show the world that the truth will never be silenced!

REQUIEM, DE MOZART

Emotivo espectáculo basado en la célebre obra póstuma de Mozart, en coproducción con varios teatros y festivales europeos. Una versión teatralizada de la misa de difuntos, donde la muerte es vista como el renacer a una vida llena de esperanza, y que ha constituido un rotundo éxito de público y crítica desde su estreno mundial en 2019. DOÑA FRANCISQUITA

Lluís Pasqual rinde su particular y sincero homenaje a la zarzuela grande en la revitalizada Doña Francisquita que llega a Les Arts tras su paso por los teatros de la Zarzuela y el Liceu. El director de escena catalán respeta fielmente la música de su paisano Amadeo Vives y reemplaza los diálogos originales con la introducción de un personaje -interpretado por el actor Gonzalo de Castro- que hace de hilo conductor de una simpática historia: una compañía de artistas graba en un estudio la zarzuela Doña Francisquita, que años más tarde es llevada a un plató de televisión.  Del 3 al 10 de noviembre de 2021 -  Sala Principal
